Car running Extremely Rich My car ran extremely rich today on the way to work today. When stopped at a light the smell of Gasoline was overwhelming. There was also some smoke coming out of the exhaust. It didn't really look blue. After work I drove home and it ran a little rough but there was no smoke and no gasoline smell. What's the first thing I should check. I was told to check the "vacuum fuel pressure regulator" (I think I said that right). But I'm not sure where it's located. By the way it's a 92 with the 350 tpi, and there are no trouble codes. Note: I did have an injector swapped a couple weeks ago because it was shooting fuel excessively. But it's been running fine. |
Bad o2 sensors are notorious for doing that aswell. Mines running extremely rich right now, ill let you know if the O2 sensor fixes that. |
