Four bolt main torque and tightening sequence

I am measuring clearences/tolerances in my 355 4-bolt main and need to know the torque sequence and torque. The manuals I have only tell for a 2 bolt.

Stock bolts, arp bolts or studs?

They are new bolts, but not arp bolts or studs.

IIRC it's 65 ft-lbs on the inners and 55 on the outers. Inners first, then outers, in a couple of stages; like 35-35, then 45-45, then 65-55, then whap the cap with a hammer and re-check.

For the 7/16" inner/outer, my specs sheet shows 70/65, respectivly.

i am also showing 70 inners/65 outers on my torque sheet.

Where did you get a torque sheet? I want one.
Do the bolts at the #1 main and #5 main (the mains with only 2 bolts) get 70 as well?
Thanks for the info.

I no longer have the 2 bolt front and rear caps - are they 7/16? 3/8"?

Try a google search for small block chevy torque specs. Heck, I think they're even on summit's website.
