fuel line question I have posted in another thread about the hesitation issues I am having with my car. I am in the process of replacing the fpr but I want to cover all bases and replace the fuel lines (there might be a restriction in them). I wanted to know if I should go with oe or would the stainless steel be better. I don't have any mods to it. It pretty much is stock (L98 5.7 350 v-8). |
Re: fuel line question It's really your choice. SS will never rust, but the OE will probably last 10X as long as you'll have the car. I've never seen a restricted fuel line that wasn't dented or kinked. Have you looked it over well? |
Re: fuel line question Haven't really inspected the entire line but what I did look at, I saw no kinks or damage. My supervisor has a rail with 24lb injectors from his old 383 and he is going to give me a deal on it. To be "safe", I was going to replace the lines and then put my new fpr in with the rail I get from him. This way if the problem still persists, then the next thing to look at would be the ecm. As far as the line question, I wasn't sure whether or not ss lines gives any performance enhancement (other than rust inhibiting), over stock. |
