Re: 502 spark plug

Depends if the heads use a tapered seat or gasket plug.

What exactly do you want to know? The only important thing to know about spark plugs is the heat range. You need to run the coldest plug possible that doesn't foul up. The required heat range depends on a lot of factors such as timing, jetting, compression ratio.

With a tapered seat and using AC Delco plugs, put in R43TS plugs.

Generally, use the exact same plugs you would use in a SBC. BBC normally can use at least 1 heat range colder than SBC.

If the R43TS foul up, up the R44TS back in.
