Source for Plastic Fuel Line?
 

Amyone know where to get aftermarket plastic fuel line?

I know that many new cars use plastic fuel lines. But I can't find any aftermarket source for it or its fittings. I think it would be easier to work with for replacing my stock 3/8" supply line with 1/2".

Background, if you want to read further--
A while back I needed more fuel pressure for my TBI, so I upgraded to a '91 stock TPI fuel pump. This gives me what I need for running pure gas.

Since then I have upgraded my ECM and tuned it for Flex Fuel. But the stock TPI pump won't support full power with E85 fuel. So I'm getting ready to install a new 255 lph high pressure fuel pump (Walbro GSL392). The flow chart with it says it will do exactly what I need.

Thus the fuel line question. I'll try it the stock lines. But I won't be surprised if the return line will let the pressure drop low enough at idle. Or if the stock supply line will feed enough. So if need to replace them, I'm thinking I could take the fuel filter out of the stock supply line, and use it as the return line. Then put in a new 1/2" supply line. That should work fine.

im sure 3/8 will be plenty big for you. But as for where to get it i work at a napa and we sell the plastic line in 3/8 and 5/16 and the assorted fittings needed. So i would assume most parts stores would sell the line and fittings.

Thanks a bunch. That's what I wanted to know. I had not checked NAPA yet, because it's the furthest place from home, and their web site catalog does not always show these things.

If I can't lower the fuel pressure enough at idle, or don't have enough flow with E85 at WOT, I'll check NAPA. Down side is the distance. Up side is, it happens to be the area warehouse store.
