91 rs v6 i have a question about my v6 camaro it runs good, smooth most of the time. the other day i was driving out of town which i have a few times but its in the mountains so im pullin a hill for a good 30 mins. about half way up the car downshifts and my rpms go up but i lose power and blowin all kinds of black smoke out the exhaust. i pull over, dont turn the car off. no misfires nothing seems wrong, i get back in the car and it gets me there just fine the rest of the way. since then when i start the car i smell fuel and when the motors cold it seems to mis fire or sputter when moving from a stop or giving it more gas. bad regulator? i have pulled the vaccumm hose off it, not spilling fuel out? anyone have any idea or maybe have had this problem? |
Re: 91 rs v6 Hook up a fuel pressure gauge, check for proper pressure & bleed down rate. Make sure the vacuum hose to the map sensor is good. |

Re: 91 rs v6 That sounds like the inlet air temp sensor, yes it is important. |
