New to the board 1 Attachment(s) Hey guys I been around here for a long time but just recently joined up. I had my 1987 Transam since 1995 and did the engine and interior over in 2001 spending well over $20,000. Since then its basically been garaged and maybe driven 3000 miles at best due to marriage/kids. Just recently registered and insured it again so I can finally start to truly drive and enjoy this beast again. Just ordered 4 new tires and still have 4 brand new 16x8 GTA black honeycomb rims I got from Classic Industries back in 2000 still in the box. Here is what has been done so far: (any comments/suggestions/criticisms are all appreciated) 1994 LT-1 engine bored+honed .30 Air Flow Research Heads 190 LT-1 reverse cool 74cc Sanderson Street Rod Headers- small block Chevy ceramic coated MSD ignition and coil Cold air induction kit Fuel pressure regulator Moroso Valve cover gaskets Pro Torque converter 10.5' 700r4 30 spline Rebuilt 700r4 Transmission w/ shift kit Comp cam LT1 xr269hr-12 BBR 52mm throttle body 160* thermostat Hotchkis panhard rod bar Crane Gold Race Pro Series Rockers 11755-16 Rocker Arms, Stud Mount, Full Roller, Aluminum, 1.6 Ratio, Fits 7/16 in. Re: New to the board Welcome to the board. And that is a good chunk of change you have spent so far. |
Re: New to the board Thanks yea I know. That was way before wife and kids. Lol |
Re: New to the board Well at least you got to keep the car. Most people I know get rid of their cars when they get married and/or have kids. |
Re: New to the board Have any pics of the car bud? |
Re: New to the board 1 Attachment(s) Here is one I just took the other day. I can't figure out how to post more then 1 pic at a time on here. It pretty much looks like a sleeper. Never painted it yet. |
Re: New to the board The new rims and tires aren't on yet |
Re: New to the board 1 Attachment(s) Here's an interior |
Re: New to the board Looks well preserved. |
Re: New to the board Thanks. Yea no rust, straight body. The rear spoiler of course is toast though. When that day comes to paint it down the road I'm gonna have to get a new fiberglass one from Hawks. |
Re: New to the board 1 Attachment(s) Another interior |
Re: New to the board Had a lot of the interior vinyl wrapped. |
Re: New to the board I take it the console was wrapped too or it's still stock? |
Re: New to the board I meant dash pad. Sorry. |
Re: New to the board The arm rest was wrapped but the dashboard is stock and stayed in perfect condition. The shift plate has some minor scratches though and the leather boot has some minor tears so I might get a new one from Hawks when there done reproducing an 85-92 automatic shift plate. |
Re: New to the board Considering dash pads are the first to crack, you've done a good job at maintaining it. What gauges do you have on the A pillar? |
Re: New to the board There's an air/fuel ratio and fuel pressure. |
Re: New to the board Hey guys after seeing what I have in this car so far, is there anything else that I can do to increase horsepower without having to reprogram the custom chip?? Minus nitrous and superchargers |
Re: New to the board Anyone have any suggestions? |
