Raising MPG?

Recently got the AC fixed on my trans am with 305 tpi. Almost every mechanical part besides spark plugs are brand new. I dumped a lot of money to have this thing brand new. Now with the ac im getting about 11 mpg in town? In town is about 30 mph or so, may not be the best speed for a v8. I do give it a few full throttle throws just to make sure shes alive;)

On the highway pre-ac I got anywhere from 22-30 mpg. I used to get around 15 in town, any ideas? It runs rough when it first starts because of those damn valve seals, gotta give it one press of the gas on startup to burn it all off.

Any ideas? I always drive in OD. Nothing heavy in the car right now? I will change the plugs this winter, but I am not sure where to go with this?

Considering my friends mopar 6 pack gets 6 in the city, I'd love to atleast get my gas mileage up lol

Double check the ignition wires are on the right plugs.

Do you have a tbi or tpi? I took off the snorkle air cleaner, got rid if the hot air tube, and gained 2 mpg on my tbi 305.
