Modification cooling system Is a radiator trans oil strong enough to be used in a car cooling circulation system (example: replacement Heater core) https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...c14f009cac.jpg |
Re: Modification cooling system Yes,they can handle much higher pressure than coolant radiators or heater cores. |
Re: Modification cooling system o.k If I understand this principle correctly, otherwise (trans oil by heater cor) the system will be unfit and may break down. Thank you very much for your good cooperation !!! |
Re: Modification cooling system Yes, but you may not have enough coolant flowrate through it to do any real heating. The inlet and outlet tubes are much smaller than a heater core. |
Re: Modification cooling system That's what I was thinking also. Typical heater cores use 5/8" or 3/4" hoses to move a lot of coolant through the core. A transmission cooler might have as large as 3/8". Although it would probably be enough to keep frost off your windshield, I doubt it would be enough to heat the interior. |
