89 305 TBI takes down AWD Audi 1.8 T
 

My friend has a 2000-ish Audi with the 1.8 turbo motor AWD that runs 15.4. I wanted to see how my 89 RS would do against him so we raced several times. On the start it was very even and all the way through 1st gear. Then he would shift and fall some behind as my torque+2.73's pulled me further. BAM my auto hits second gear peeling the tire, LOL, and keeps inching. It was a close race everytime, but I won every time. I was shocked. I know that my RS feels stronger than his Audi cause he let me drive it, but I thought his turbo would have kicked in and he would have beat me. Now i want to take my car to the track and see what it will run.

BTW: we raced to about 80-85.

He was stone stock

I have:
KN
Flowmaster muffler(no cat back)
Jet stage 1 chip
6° base timing
fresh tune up
BM tork master 2000 stall converter
BM shift kit
Corvette servo
All else stock, including 2.73's, and NO ultimate TBI mods what so ever.

That's sad!:( your closest comp. is a foriegn 1.8. I think I'm doing good wupin' a mitsb. GT. with my 88 Form. I remember car's I used to have and LMAO at them while leaving them so fast they didn't have time to read my Licence plate!:D
