Quick TB lid question

I don't know if this has been asked before, but UMI has a throttle body lid for sale, looks kind of nice, for '93 LT1 F-Bodies. My question is, are the dimensions of an LT1 TB and a TPI TB (specifically '87) and bolt holes the same??? Will the TB lid that fits on the LT car fit the TB TPI car?? Especially if they'er both 48mm TB's. (LT1 is 48 not 52 stock?????? yes/no????)http://www.umiperformance.com/2108ws6

Re: Quick TB lid question

I was researching the LT1 intake swap and IIRC one of the threads stated the TBs were interchangeable at the plenum mounting points, but the sensor harness connectors were different and the spacing of the top cover plate screws was also different.

I'm awaiting delivery of an LT1 intake with throttle body and can check for differences when it arrives - unless someone gets back to you before then.

Re: Quick TB lid question

Thanks for the info and reply. I'm really curious if I can get one of these covers to fit - even if a bit of playing with it is in order - I'm kind of liking the look of these tops from UMI. Your input when you can compare the two would be muchly appreciated. Thanks again.:)

I compared the LT1 and TPI throttle bodies and it appears that the top plate is swappable between them. Length, width and bolt hole position are the same.
