what size are the FPR housing screws? I managed to strip one... also, does anyone know where I can get a replacement FPR housing (the top hat looking black piece). If you still need one i might be able to send you one. After my ordeal in the post RB linked to someone sent me a few. I *should* still have some around, if i can remember where i put 'em. I'll email yopu if i find 'em when i get home. ...ed edit...didn't even see the part about the housing. Try junkyards, the dealer, or a s a last resort, convert to a quality aftermarket AFPR. Just an idea, but instead of trying to find an M3 screw, how about just drilling out the hole and tapping to a 6-32? That's what I did on my car when I had a stripped block and it was the beginning of a long holiday weekend. Just make sure drilling debris can't get down in the regulator block. I carefully covered mine with duct tape and had rags under to help catch additional fillings. By the way, I have the Holley AFPR so I was able to find a screw head that fit it's shape. If all else fails, I've got a spare GM FPR block (used) and (new) housing that we could probably work out if you had to start one from scratch. The block is generally only avavilable from the dealer or junkyard. Kev brings up another point that i almost went with. Most of the FPR screws go straight through, so you could drill/tap 'em for something a little bigger and more common, or even put a nut/bolt through it. But like i said, i'll check when i get home to see if i still have some. |
