350 tpi build so i have a 86 t/a that has a 305 tpi in it so i got a 350tpi from a 91 t/a so i plan on rebuilding it but i have no idea if i should just get new pistons and everything else i really dont want to spend a lot of$$$$$$ but i really dont want to get alot of hp that i have to change the rear and all that other good stuff (well at least not right now) so i need some ideas if i should see if i can make a a 355 or something since maybe i will be changeing pistons and all thanks for the help in advance |
Re: 350 tpi build the only reason for boring is to make the cylinder surface new. if there is little cylinder wear or grooves just hone it, but if there is little or no wear i would leave it alone. |
Re: 350 tpi build so do you think a cheap 300$ rebuild kit from summit would be good? and without doing alot to the bottom end should i just maybe get a cam and some nice rockers and springs to just give it a little extra kick? |
Re: 350 tpi build yes. make sure the cam is ok for injected engines. you may want to hone and re-ring if you want to make more power. |
Re: 350 tpi build yea once i get the engine apart its goin to go to the shop to get cleaned up.. its just been raining down here all week. so i couldnt get the engine on the stand. |
