Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI Where can you buy a replacement? I've looked everywhere and can only seem to find the entire canister. The one Rockauto shows is wrong. Can you just buy the solenoid or am I stuck buying the whole canister with it? Should look like this ---- http://i.ebayimg.com/t/82-92-Camaro-...SwyIo/$_57.JPG |
Re: Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI its built into the canister ! |

Re: Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI Have you contacted your local gm dealer to see if its sold separately from the gm 17092109 acdelco 215-163 ? You may compare a acdelco 214-619 and see if that matches. |
Re: Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI I know this this is an older thread but you can find the purge valve still available at Summit. I’m desperately searching for the whole canister and cannot find one anywhere. If you might know of a spot to order from I would be very grateful!

Re: Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI if you can't find the exact part and aren't overly concerned with originality, you can always get a generic and make it work. the solenoid itself is nothing special... just need to open and close with a 12v signal. something like this can be mounted somewhere off the canister and then plumbed and wired in. https://www.ebay.com/p/A-c-2-Port-Vacuum-12-Volt-Solenoid-Shut-off-Valve-959001-Normally-Closed/1658786138?iid=401283832888 |
Re: Vapor canister purge solenoid for 92' 5.0 TPI No need for that. The truck ones plug right in https://www.autozone.com/engine-mana.../45380_0_12209 |
