Ported Edelbrock, feedback
 

I have just finished port-matching my Edelbrock 3860 baseplate, to some TPIS large tube runners that I got from Ebay. This is the first time Ive ported, so would like some input on this.
The machined "lip" on the intake was only 39mm narrowing down to 38mm+, so just leaving it stock would have meant a bad transition from the 42mm runners.
I dont know what "3/8" radiused inlet" is, I just opened up the inlets, as straight as possible compared to unported. I made the inlets 43mm diam, slightly larger than the runners, to avoid a ridge from mismatching.
I used mr Gasket 46 as a template, and runner to intake line up well.

I also have a ported plenum, ported by Darin of Highflow injection.
The runners are a bit smaller than the ports on the plenum, so I will open the runners up slightly, to match them up. Ill only port at the flanges, since the tubes are thin and I see no reason to touch them.

So, does this look ok, or should I have done something differenly?
The parts are for a stock L98 350, 3" exhaust. Im planning to get a mild cam, but no new heads for now.

Another question.. My plenum is very well and exact ported to mr Gasket 146 gaskets.
Problem is that my AS&M runners dont line up well. So Im thinking if I could just carefully port the runners, to getrid of the ridge and get a good transition plenum to runners.
I would only port a few mm into the flange, since the tubes are thin. Will I risk that the tubes come loose or anything? I dont know how they are attached to the flange, but there is no visible weld

Its been awhile since I have seen the flange side of as&m ,Tpis runners. I think they are like factory and are pressed into the flange. If thats the case the tiny lip can be taken out with a sanding roll.On factory runners there is a sealant around the tube on the outside to prevent vacuum leaks.Your runners do not have that so im not sure how tight the press fit is. If the inside of the runner looks like its rolled into the flange I would leave it alone.

I dont have my runners here to take a picture, but maybe You could check this link? Those are AS&M runners, so should be the same as mine

those are sand rolled looks like you can clean them up aliittle ;)

Thanks, yes I will do so but very carefully and just to get rid of the sharp transition. I measured the flange earlier today and its 13mm thick. So i will only sand 3-4 mm into the runner. Just ordered a flexible shaft for the power drill and a tapered sanding drum, to be able port with some presicion:)
