87 Tpi horsepower expectations?

I have an 88 Camaro that was originally a v6. The previous owner swapped a 5.7 Tpi from an 87 firebird. I took off all of the Tpi stuff and put an Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 600 carb, hei distributor and an adj fpr. I plan on getting the summit brand headers for it and I already ordered the dynomax dual 2 1/4 exhaust for it with an x pipe and going to run cut outs. What horsepower am I looking at? Everything else is stock. Also it's a 5 speed if that makes a difference in rwhp.

I have a 5.3LS motor that I'm going to build over the next 5 years or so, just want to enjoy the motor that's in it for now since it seems like a healthy motor. So any ideas?

Maybe 245-260 whp depending on conditions

With the minimal gains from those headers and a catback after the negatives from removing all the TPI stuff I would guess right around the stock TPI levels

Carb intake will make more power than tpi imo. It should pull higher and fuel cooling effect from atomization should boost some. Performer rpm may be better but then again stock heads arent that good

In not cheering on swapping TPI over to carb. I've done it and regretted it. In saying that my friend had an 89 TPI 350 and it ran 14.4s. A 650 Holley and edelbrock intake on it and nothing else put it in 13.8s in the 1/4. It freed it up more air. Engine is an air pump and more air more power. I think a stock L98 with good exhaust and induction whether it be stealth ram or carb can make 270+ HP. As a crate engine GM rated them at 285 HP once.

What negatives besides maybe a little loss in torque? As far as I knew the Tpi is limited to 4500rpms. My intake, although just a performer is good till 5500 which is plenty for the stock bottom end L98. I know dual exhaust along with the x pipe helps with the scavenging of exhaust gases which should free up some hp. I also have a 5 speed which should free up some more usable hp.

That's what I was thinking,
I'll probably end up getting it dynoed along with my wife's 4th gen for fun and see.

That's what I like to hear! I'm sorry I know a lot of people shame swapping Tpi to carb but I really like carb better. I don't have to mess with sensors or computer tuning when I change something. Plus I literally did this swap for only 172$ in parts, I already had the intake and carb laying around. Bought a new distributor, fpr, couple fittings and some odds and ends and it's running in less than 2 hours! I'm sorry but modding a Tpi is expensive! And for what? Maybe a little more mpg? Better cold start? A little better drivability? I'll pass lol I'm on a budget!

I I have had the exact opposite experience mostly because the person who swapped over to carb didn't know how to properly time the carb or did not care to take the time. Indiana just ran worse slower and smelled like gas
