90 TPI Intake Manifold Torx bolt - the long one, what size?

Anyone have the size of this bolt? I lost one, dammit! I think someone broke into my garage and stole it! Already have the thing together and substituted a shorter bolt that belongs elsewhere during torque sequence. Need to get the right size length bolt in there. If you have an extra you want to sell let me know.

M8 x 1.25 x 54.4 torx is what is spec'd. I used M8 x 1.25 x 55mm allen, as I was unable to locate a torx. I purchased from boltdepot.com, $0.51 each (product #18974, Metric socket button head, Class 12.9 steel black oxide finish) plus $4.95 shipping.

Thanks! Now I have to learn how to read bolt sizes! I mean I read, then forget. Reread.

Where did you find the spec?

You can get entire sets of stainless Allen bolts for the TPI from ebay, etc. There's TONS of different kits out there. ARP even makes them. Here's a set of everything:

Careful now, you say TPI intake manifold torx bolt, and I get the impression you're talking about the intake to head bolts, which would be 3/8-16. If you're talking about the runner bolts, they're metric. The longer runner bolts generally are the ones (two of them) from the center of the engine out, under the plenum. The longer intake to cylinder head bolts are the four in the corners IIRC.

M = Metric
8 = 8mm - Diameter of bolt threads
X = by
1.25 = Metric thread pitch, threads per MM.
54.4 = Thread length including shoulder, if present. 54.4 MM long. AKA a little over 2" (2.14" marginally larger than 2 and 1/8" long)

GM will also usually spec out the diameter of the captured washer if there's one present, FWIW.

Yes, I realized yesterday while working on car I should have specified that. Intake to Head bolts. Need one longer one that is at the corner. It is 35mm long, 10mm dia, 19x7mm head and takes a T45 torx.

Intake to head bolts are not going to be metric. Because the Chevy Small Block was designed in Detroit in the 1950's. So the long block itself uses SAE fasteners. It's everything that isn't bolted directly to the engine that is metric.

Those are both Torx Plus - not the same thing. Different socket required.
