9 bolt austrailian rear ends
 

are all borg & warner parts inter changeable?i have a 2.77 9 bolt & have a partner that has a 3.23 disc brake rear end complete out of a 87-89 gta.my rear end is a 2.77 out of a 89 iroc,i am trying swap diffs & change gear ratio to 3.73 from precision gear.
both rear ends are posi.my question is will all parts be interchangeable? can any one help?

The posi carriers are different i believe from 2.77 to 3.08 & from 3.23 to 3.73 or numerically higher.If you only want to change the ring & pinion.Youll have to go with the 3.23 diff.Or change the entire carrier from your 2.77.Everything else should be the same.

all 9-bolt parts have to be used with 9-bolt parts, nothing from a 10bolt will work. the 3.23 is not a stock 9-bolt ratio... the stock 9-bolt ratios are 2.77 3.27 3.45.

crazychuck13, do you have any extra 9 bolt axle shafts? I'm looking for a drivers side axle shaft. Any info would be great.
