700R4 4th Gear Feed Hole & Band Release
 

I am looking to firm up fourth gear. I have installed the probuilt transgo jr/2-3HD combo kit and am satisfied with all shifts except 3-4. It’s not firm enough. I have already blocked the 4th accumulator. the transgo instructions list holes to enlarge but, not what they are for. i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 4th. I have looked @ my atsg and it lists 4th feed (47) but, I cannot find 47 in the diagram.


One last thing which hole is the 2nd gear band release? I am thinking about getting a 9.5" higher stall and will need to open up 3rd feed. I understand if I open up 3rd feed larger than the band release hole, it will flare up on the 2-3 shift. Thanks guys.

Get one of TCI's servo kits. Not only will it firm up 4th, but it will firm up second even more and release second faster.
