how many teeth on 3.42 ring gear?? also how many splines is the stock 2.73 open diff axle???

41:12 is 3.416666 so 41 teeth are on the ring gear.

What year is the open diff? 82-89 are 26 spline. 90-present are 28 spline. 89 is a changeover year. It's possible that it could have 28 splines.
