t5 from a v6 to v8 ?? would it be possible to put a 5 speed from a 2.8 motor into a 305?? |
Re: t5 from a v6 to v8 ?? Short answer is no. The long answer is here [Link] |
Re: t5 from a v6 to v8 ?? Been done, you need the bell from a V8 3rd gen and you can use a clutch from some odd ball chevy truck to mate the V6 splined input shaft to a V8 sized flywheel/pressure plate. You can also send the old V6 clutch plate in and have the V8 disc riveted to it. I read this in a post some time ago and am looking for it now cause I have the chance to piece this together. |
Re: t5 from a v6 to v8 ?? Possible, yes. Recommended? no. The V8 T5 is a glass jaw mated to a mild V8. The V6 version is just asking for trouble. |
Re: t5 from a v6 to v8 ?? ok dont mean to steel this post but would a v8 t5 work on a v6 and would a th700r4 bell fit on the t5 same q about a t56 i have a 700r4 now but im a stick guy |
