stall speed recommendations?

I have a 84 Camaro Z28 a weekend cruiser/bruiser, with a 383 stroker, 10.5, dart iron eagle heads, edlebrock rpm air gap, a 750HO mechanical DP carb, by AED, it has a comp cams XR288HR-10, http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=161&sb=2, engine dyno was 486hp@5800, 478trq@5100, I have a stage 3 built 700r4, a 10bolt posi rear with 3.42 gears, and using nitto nt555r drag radials-275-50-15. I currently have a 2600 lockup stall, and a recent chassis dyno, it produced 350.69rwhp and 369.08trq.

At the Lakeland dragstrip 1/8th mile, I ran a 60ft.. 1.817
660ft.. 8.223@ 86.25, The carb tuner said I need a bigger stall, he suggested a 3200, what do you guys think?

Re: stall speed recommendations?

That cam has a powerband that starts at 2500 rpm. For street/strip use, you'll want a converter that stalls around 3000 rpm. For full race, a converter that stalls around 3500 rpm.

The 3200 recommended stall speed would be pretty close to what you need.
