Dont know what to buy....torque converter..
 

Hello have a almost stock (headers)350tpi and want a new converter for my th700 but dont know what to buy? and how much stall speed ?

Unless your drag racing I'd leave it. A cheap stall converter will make driving miserable from what I hear, and a quality converter is $$$$. Plus stalling a stock motor will quickly push the motor past its power-band.

How are you sure its the converter making noise and not something else? If its faulty why not replace it with a similar stall/stock style replacement?

You still haven't told us what your application is so its hard to make recommendations.

I didn't like how my stock converter behaved either, so I installed this trick piece that lets you vary the stall speed with your left foot, lol.

But all joking aside, there are many guys on here that know a lot more about torque converters than I do, but they will need to know your application to make a good recommendation. Simply stating that the car is mostly stock, without telling us how the car is driven doesn't really tell us much.
