T56 Pilot Bearing Question

Been wanting to do a T56 swap for a long time and have been acquiring parts. One thing I did over look that I am not sure is if the crankshaft on my motor is machined to accept a pilot bearing? My motor is a pre 1986 383 stroker with a 2 piece rear main seal. I tried calling the shop that built it back in 2005 but they could not give me a definite answer. So my question is, do all aftermarket performance crankshafts drilled for a pilot bearing?

AFAIK yes they are.

Not hard to tell... the bearing/bushing (you could use either) is about 1-3/32" or thereabouts in diameter. If the crank has a hole that size and about ¾" deep, it's prepped.

Never seen one that wasn't able to accept a pilot bearing

Thanks for the information everyone! I did not want any surprises this winter when I pull the transmission to do the swap.
