Diff sugestions Hello, I'm planning my third gen camaro project but I need help choosing a diff ratio. I have an ls3 with 575bhp and 525lb-ft torque at the flywheel. i want to put a t56 behind it that has 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 .80 .63 gears. I'm gonna keep tires close to stock height but 11.5 wide at the rear. I plan to keep it a daily(maybe) that can run 11s in the 1/4 but also have a decent top speed for sprints. |
Re: Diff sugestions I don't know about gear ratio, but I hope you don't plan to use a stock 10 bolt for that... |

Re: Diff sugestions With the .63 6th OD, I would go with 4.10/4.11 (12 bolt is 4.11 I think) gears |

Re: Diff sugestions Scratch that about stock tire height, what I mean is fitting the wheel well without modification |
Re: Diff sugestions I don't race but have been here long enough to know you will "NOT" hook with a streat tire. They do make a street/track tire but with what you have even that will be pushing it. You might consider two sets of tires. One for every day driving and something like this for the track. = http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...ETStreetRadial Thay only make them up to 17in wheels though. I would put the street tire on the nice 18s and a 15in. wheel for the track. Much better selection in a tire that size suitable for your track use. Don't buy a expensive wheel and then find out the tire selection is not what your looking for. I would advise doing a through tire search concerning any size / diameter wheel your considering. That way you will know before hand what tires will be available for the size you choose. |

Re: Diff sugestions I see what you're saying. Appreciate it. |
Re: Diff sugestions The tire seach is the hardest part to me. The diff a close second...probably will just go with the 4.11 and get two wheel sets. I didn't expect to have the engine I do originally so that changed everything |
