Source For Reman T5

OK, so I've been having an absolute nightmare for more years than I can count trying to solve two vibration problems with my car; one in the engine, and the other in the drivetrain. I detail it here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...-duration.html

Well, it looks like both vibration problems are the transmission. Pulled the transmission out, started the car, and the engine vibration is gone. Despite the transmission having been rebuilt, supposedly with all new bearings, synchronizers and seals, there is a ton of play in the input shaft of the transmission. Think that was probably the cause of the engine vibration. Regardless, there's no more engine vibration with the transmission out. That was the only thing that changed; obviously the cause of the engine vibration was in the transmission.

The output shaft also has a ton of play, and I believe that is the cause of the driveline vibration. Regardless, I had my transmission rebuilt locally and it was a disaster. It needs dealt with.

So I'm looking for recommendations for the best T5 rebuilder.

Can anyone help?

I found Promotion Powertrain online. http://promotionpowertrain.com/
Don't know if they are any good. Just sent them an email on their T5 transmissions.
Anybody use them?

Yes, I used them a couple years ago.
I had them do some repair work on a Fox Mustang T-5 that I brought them.
Very knowledgeable guys, small but well equipped shop and I think they've been in business a long time.
I was very happy with their service, work, knowledge, etc.
I recommend them, I think they will do a good job for you.

There will be a bunch of play in the input shaft and output shaft if out of the car with no driveshaft yoke.
The pilot bushing/bearing supports the input shaft when installed. The driveshaft yoke is part of the output shafts support, as long as the bushing and yoke aren't worn.
