Labor price to install ring & pinion?

I got a quote of $500 labor to install a R&P? Is that a fair charge for labor? Parts are extra.

Details: Dana 44, not in-car, 4.11 to 3.92 so I can re-use the carrier. The rest of the quote includes $180 for the G2 brand gears and $130 for the D44 master kit (all center bearings, seals, shims).

Any other comments, recommendations? With a T56 and 350, should I upgrade to a 1350 u-joint?

That's relatively cheap considering it doesn't look like they are significantly marking up the parts. Quick online searches show prices are right inline with typical retail. Tear down and careful setup is probably 4-5 hours so seems about right to me for labor these days (average is about $120 an hour).
