The MPFI 2.8 and engine control wiring that will be transplanted into my '86 Jeep Wagoneer. I didn't think there would be that much wiring:eek: Now, a qustion about the wiring. WTF is the pink and purple wires coming of the brake light switch that goes to the computer? They arn't listed in the Haynes manual.

No, just one, the MPFI 2.8 from the camaro is replacing the carb'd 2.8 in my jeep. The camaro is just a parts car, you should see the poor thing, talk about gutted:D The "Z" code steering box off the Camaro is going on my '78 El Camino, and I've sold a few parts off from it too. The 'maro is getting spread around quite a bit:D

The pink wire might be what GM called the Pink/Black wire that should be from the guages fuse. The color coding is usually close but not perfect. The purple wire is on Autos and is used to cut out the TCC while braking. This info is for 86 Birds - Camaros should be similar.

Will that throw off the computer in any way by not being hooked up? The tranny in my jeep is non-electronic.

I would say no. The computer would just think you never press the brake pedal. To a human that doesn't sound quite right :D but the computer is not that smart. It does not look for any feedback from the tranny. This also allows you to not hook up anything with the TCC harness to the tranny because the computer doesn't check.
