Wow it's been a long time since I've been able to get on here. I'm moved and partially settled in to my new place in Florida now, so hopefully I'll be able to get on a little more often.

I've run into a bit of a problem and need a hose that I can't seem to find anywhere. The hose that connects the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder. Anyone have any idea where I can find one? It took a crap on me and as you can imagine, that doesn't help too much. Bunch of parts stores have said GM only part, and a bunch of dealerships have said GM doesn't make that part by itself anymore and I'd have to buy the entire master, slave, and hose as a package for just over $200.

only advice i could give ya is go to a junkyard and grab one or fab one up

personally i think its a load of crap, because i am able to get any spring or whatever i need for my lights on my firebird, although my brother in law is a parts guy for the local chevy dealer, i'll call him on monday and ask him about that, if you find one cool, but personally i think someone was just tryin to make money, do you have a part number or anything?

No part number, not carried by Napa, not carried by Advanced Auto, and 4 Chevy dealerships in Florida and Maine have said the same exact thing. I've started brainstorming for ideas on fabbing one up. Any ideas I can throw into the pot?

I searched for that clutch line for weeks while doing my T5 swap... ended up buying the full hydraulic kit from GM because I simply couldn't find that line. Good luck.

Yep, you can only get the whole assembly from GM. The V6 part number is 12527719 (look it up on www.GMpartsdirect.com ).

List price is $155.75 but when I bought mine I paid $97.66.

I realize this post is a little old, but I thought people might like to hear an option for fabbing up a new line if it ever comes up as a problem for you.

Cut the old hose end fittings out of the old hose carefully to reuse them.

Cut a piece of -4AN brake line to the right length. I used teflon lined steel braided brake line.

Freeze the end fittings to get them to contract as much as possible and boil the end of the hose to make it softer and more pliable.

Then work the fittings into the new hose. Takes a bit of effort even with the heating and freezing, but the new line works great. Better than it ever has.

thats a damn good idea

I got some nylon 1/4 OD hose from a local industrial/hydraulics supply store (Checker Industrial)

Cost me $6 CDN for 5 feet of it. I am having problems with leaks though as my fittings are damaged, and i'm sure my 'push like hell with pliers' install technique isn't helping.

Anyone know if you can get replacement fittings?

They look similar to fittings I've seen before, but the easiest way of getting new ones is by making them on a lathe I think. Otherwise, I would have to say junk yard. Anybody have better ideas cause after my incident, I can easily see that as a big problem.
