Re: error code reader Error code readers are generally nothing more than a $20 paperclip anyways, unless you're asking about a scan tool or PC link cable plus scanner software. |
Re: error code reader Thanks i'll use the paperclip to cancel out the ses code, but what about reading the code to see what the problem is? |
Re: error code reader The paperclip won't clear codes, only disconnecting the battery will. The paperclip allows you to read the codes. ECM Codes While it is really no better than a paperclip, Autozone gave me one of their "fancy" keys. Just a key shaped piece of aluminum with 2 prongs to stick in. While Autozone should have one, I've found that most of today's employees have no clue how to do an OBD I car! :lmao: I've had a couple of different stores hand me the "key"..."Do you know how? I don't. You can use this if you do, that's all I know." http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...e/P4050001.jpg |
Re: error code reader so i would just count the number of flashes from the ses light, thats a lot of flashes. |
Re: error code reader Yes count flashes, but it isn't "counting a lot" Long flashes are 10s, short flashes are 1s. Like.....Code 23 = 2 long flashes, pause, 3 short flashes. |
Re: error code reader ok so 40 would be 4 long dashes |
