18x10.5s all around? Possible with 1 inch drop and widest tires? Good idea? I want to be able to rotate tires |

Re: 18x10.5s all around? i wouldnt say you could NEVER get it done, but i will say good luck. lol i run around a 1.5/2 inch drop with 17x9.5s with a 255/45 upfront and they rub at a lil before full lock. i need to get some 255/35's really tho, as i have 18x10.5s with 315/30/18s in the back. good luck, maybe somebody will chime in whos got 18s up front. |
Re: 18x10.5s all around? I got 18x9s up front and there is some room, but not much... trial and error is probably your only choice. Really do you need to rotate them that bad?? Plus your gonna wanna put drag radials on the back anyway, and you know that those will never see the front. |
Re: 18x10.5s all around? I have 17x9.5s with 275 tires all around. Im running 2.25 spacers and car is stock height its an 86 iroc. Rubs very slighly at full lock |

Re: 18x10.5s all around? You can fit 10's up without that classic trailerpark look. I had 18x9.5's with 275's for quite a while. Even dropped 2.5" I never rubbed. It's all about where the wheel is sitting in the fender. I jumped to a narrower wheel, 8.5" with the same width tire and now when I reverse quickly at full lock I'll get a little rubbage. If my rear tires were shorter, (they're a ~27" tall) I'd try fitting up my 19x10's but oh well. |
Re: 18x10.5s all around? it can be done but i think you need good clearancing up front. SCCA guys do it i believe. i've seen 4th gens with 17x11's all around. its gonna come down to the tire tho, you'll need to keep the sidewall as short as possible |

The wheels are from Complete Custom Wheel in Florida. They are all 18" X 11" wide. The backspace is the same on all 4 wheels, but I use spacers on all 4 wheels to achieve the "perfect" fit front and rear. CCW makes wheels to the 1/4" in backspace and width, but you never know "exactly" where the clearance issues will be until you get the car on the track. It is amazing what flexes and bends on these cars. Downright frightening in some cases. Modifications are required on both ends of the car to get this big of a wheel under the fenders. Prodigious use of a BFH is necessary. Trimming of the front fenders is necessary. Rolling of all the lips is necessary. Fender liners optional. I would never recommend anything this big for the street. Maybe on the rear, but never on the front. 9.5" wide is the largest wheel I would put on the front for the street. I run Good Year Eagle Radial Slicks - road race. Not street legal. 25.5X11.5-18 front and 25.5X12.5-18 rear. |

Re: 18x10.5s all around? yeah, IIRC it one pair of wheels was 58mm and the other was 56. Did you look at the pictures on photobucket? The tires *might* touch the inner fender at full lock, but I'm not that concerned. I never checked that with the car on the ground. |

I will be going to a 275/35/18 on the front this spring when the car comes out from its engine modfest. |
Re: 18x10.5s all around? The tires are Hoosier Grand Am Cups, 275/35/18, but in reality they are probably more like a 295. They are a spec tire for (guess what?) the Grand Am Cup series. They call for a 10-10.5" rim. I had them on a 9.5 before, and the worked, but were pinched pretty good. So I got the 10.5's. |
