need help! newbie. please!!

Hey Everyone,
I am a complete newb when it comes to wheels/tires. I need help from anyone that knows and is willing. All help will be greatly appreciated!

My Car: 1992 z28 5.7L with I know the 16'' stock wheels. Not 1LE. Has all other options.

My Problem: I want to put on rear 295/50 or less/ on stock wheels. Is this possible?

What I have read is that in order to do so you have to get the stock wheel widened. That if you dont the tire wont fit on the stock wheel size? Does anyone know the stock size for my car? Is it 8.5"? 9.5"? Also, is if I were to get it widened to what size would I need it to be widened to in order to look good on a that size tire above? Does anyone know of anybody/any place to get my wheel widened?
Also, the stock offset is 16" in the rear right? What would it need to be in order for me to clear if I bought a new wheel with the above tire size?

So, I guess my questions come down to what would I need to do to correctly fit a 295/50,45,35/16 on my wheel? I need some serious help. I want to achieve a super aggressive look with a wider tire than Im running now. I have 245/45/16 on rear and 235/45/16 on front.

Thank you all so much!

Search "295 on stock" for more info. But BFG's 295/50/16s seem to be the best fitting. You wont have to change anything wheel wise or spacing either. It all depends on the tire brand on whether they will work.

IN theory they should work bud. I don't know that I'd push much wider than a 275. section width of a 295 is about 11.5" but overall width is going to be closer to 13"
