Hoosier 295/50R16 D.O.T. drag Radial

Has anyone tried these on a third gen car? Do they clear without rubbing?
Thanks
Dave

I'm using the stock wheels. Not sure what the back spacing is on them.

I have that size on my car but they are Mickey Thompsons. They fit and cleared fine with a 16x8 wheel, so did the 275/55-16 M&H tires.

Yes but what BS do you have ?

dvernst ,
Please tell us what your driving than "if" the stock wheels are the same ones that actually came with that car it will give us something to work with.. You cant just start slapping tires on wheels and expect them to fit with out knowing what wheels/ BS you have and how wide they are also plays a large roll in what you can run. .(I know first hand) Once we know what your driving than someone can step up and give us some measurements to work with.A photo of the wheels would also help determine exactly what wheels they are and there dimensions.

The 295/50s have an inch more sidewall than a 245/50. I would assume suspension set up would affect weather they would rub as well.

Here's what 295/50r15 look like on a 8in. wheel. This is back when I tried to pull off that size and before I belonged to this site, I really did not know any better. Any way it did not work with my BS and they really need a 9.5 or 10in. wheel.
The wheels I have are in the Outlaw class of wheel made buy American Racing and only come in 3.75 BS. Even so I did managed to get the tread under the flair. (barely) Since then I have gone to a respectable 255/60r15 rear.
