Which adapters are you guys running?

Ebay is a wild west of adapters from who knows where... I'd prefer something hubcentric, but apparently there are fitment issues with those in some cases.

Just wondered...

1. Do you have hubcentric adapters? Do you wish you did?

2. Where are you getting your adapters?

I want to make sure that what I get actually fits the hubs on my car and is safe. I plan to autocross with them.

I run hub centric and wheel centric
I run some custom ones by them

Helps center everything avoiding unwanted vibration
Majority of the weight is carried on the lugs but depending on what you read some people says a minor load Is taken off lugs others say it doesn't take any load off

Some will say there never had a issue with non hubcentric while others broke lugs and caused some type of damage

I rather have the piece in mind and extra safety if I'm spending money on it is rather spend little extra for it .

It's a 50/50 thing pick what route you want

I have had ebay ones the fitment wasn't all that great and had slight vibration and the quality wasn't that good IMO compared to the ones I currently have , ebay spacers worked tho but if I'm going to push the car then I would spend extra .

Those custom adapter sites are 3 to 4x the cost of the ebay ones... It's amazing to me. I need to buy a fourth gen axle or something... Thanks for your input though! Good to know.

What wheels are you going to run?

Do you have them yet (the wheels)?

I just bought 4 billet 2" spacers on ebay and haven't had a problem. I ran the same kind on my Vette with GTO spares for many miles and countless 1/4 miles passes. They fit and didn't throw anything off balance for the half of a summer I ran them on my T/A with 17" WS6 wheels.

Lol yea there are little more but worth it fits like a glove and I needed custom width and bolt pattern so had to spend extra

ebay ones will do just fine some people like some people don't and i would get hubcentric ones atleast and check torque before auto x

I just had slight vibration with mines and I didn't feel comfortable but people run them with no issues

ZR1's. 17x9.5 and 17x11. They cost me less than the fancy adapters would! But I've just always loved ZR1's so I dont mind.

I already did the backspace measurements... 2 inch spacers front and rear should cover it. I've got LS1 brakes up front, so I have an extra .300 inches of width up front from the rotor thickness so 2 inch adapters all around will work fine.

This will work well since these ZR1's are pretty standard fourth gen offsets, so I can run other wheels with the same spacers. But the costs of the nice spacers are kind of scary.
