And because I'm always paranoid on buying wheels that won't fit I'm left with looking at reproduction Corvette wheels like I currently have on the car. They're about 10 years old

I'm considering these. Here's the car. Thoughts on which wheel to go with? Any suggestions outside of what I'm providing? Most of these are around $1,100-$1,400 for a set.

That first one sort of has a vintage IROC-Z wheel vibe - IMHO

Since this one has come up again...

The first wheel seems rather ordinary, and its full flat face is just too... flat. Besides, there are plenty of 3rdgens already running those wheels. Be original.

The second wheel isn't bad, and the recessed lip is "muscley" looking. I don't think that's even a word but spellcheck didn't complain lol. Still kind of, eh.

Of your three choices posted, I like the last one: C7 ZR1 wheel. In gloss black, with your car's black and white color scheme, I think it will look good. Its spokes are not exactly symmetrical, which gives its somewhat basic design some personality. And the face is recessed in the center, which gives its appearance some depth. And I haven't seen any on 3rdgens yet.

My favorite Corvette wheel at the moment is the C7 Z06 Blade wheel. Unfortunately, it's not being reproduced yet, and probably never will be since it's a "GM Accessory Wheel." 18" would be awesome, but the only way to get it smaller would be if it ever goes into reproduction. It's available in gloss black with a machined lip, which would look good on your car. Nickel Pearl is also available. But it's only available in 19" and 20".

But with adapters, you can use almost any wheel, not just Corvette or BMW wheels.

If these are the only ones to pick from, I'll go with the C7 ZR1 wheels since they're the newest, and not everyone has had a chance to put them on their non-ZR1 Corvette/Camaro/Truck quite yet. Already very tired of seeing C6 Z06 and C6 ZR1 wheels on every non-Z06 and ZR1 Corvette/Camaro/Truck. EVERYONE has them on seemingly everything that's not supposed to have them.

IMO, if you don't like the IROC wheels, next best thing for a third gen Camaro is Silver painted (NOT chrome) C4 ZR1 wheels. Not sure if you can even get those anymore though.

any idea on what would need to be done to make the C7 ZR1 wheels fit? I currently have C5 Z06 wheels with 2 inch spacers. I rolled my fenders in some.. 17 inch wheels front, 18 inch wheels back (for reference)

No way to estimate fitment with only the diameter to go by. Width/offset/backspace will determine the fitment. But since you currently have C5 wheels on the car, then I'd imagine the C7 wheels will fit similarly. So if you're pleased with the fitment of your C5 wheels, then use those specs as a guide for fitting new wheels.

But spacing can be adjusted. It's the fitment with the front brakes that would seem to be more important. I read in your car's thread that you have 13" Baer brakes. Some 17" wheels fit over 13" brakes, but many don't. And I'd doubt there's anyone who can positively confirm such fitment for you, probably not even Baer, who likely includes such disclaimers as, "fits MOST 17" wheels," or "won't fit MOST 17" wheels," or simply, "won't fit 17" wheels."

From what I can see in your pictures, your current wheels look like they just barely fit over those brakes. 18" wheels aren't likely to fit so tightly over 13" brakes, so I'm guessing they're 17"? If so, then such a tight fit probably means other 17" wheels will be a gamble. Trial and error gets expensive, so how to go about it is your call.
