Sounds like an ICM to me. I had a couple of these go on me in different ways. One died, there was no spark, the other died, and there was spark however the second the motor tried to fire the spark...

It seems half of this forum hates the idea and the other half loves it.

Certainly saved me a lot of hours when my fuel pump went. Now if it dies again it can be changed on the side of the road.

lifters pump up with engine oil pressure, turning by hand aint gonna do it. You have to treat it as though youve just changed the cam out. Plenty of youtube vids out there on how to set valve lash on...

The bucking and carrying on after powering off is usually high idle setting related. People usually misdiagnose it as a timing issue, however with the ignition off, timing no longer plays part in it....

bolts wont snap but the intake itself is usually as soft as dogsh!t. Buy the gaskets and a torque wrench, some rtv and look for the torquing order in the manual.

check the fuse panel with a test light. one side of the turn signal fuse should have power. If not then open the "convenience center" and see if the flasher unit is alive.

Ive seen (and experienced) a mechanical pump sucking through a dead pump. But this might not be the case 100% of the time.

If it was TPI then the pump in the tank is probably going to be pushing...
