Have you considered rolling the rear lip to prevent them from cutting the tire or scratching the wheels?

I have poly bumpstops that I've trimmed up over time, but my wheel/tire combo fit inside...

I usually trim my bump stops by the mount of the drop to maintain full suspension travel. You can also reshape the bump stop to control how stiff...

why not swap the gears/posi into the 3rd gen housing. Problem solved.

If you don't need the gears, the posi is a direct bolt in place of your nonworking posi unit.

I've had bad luck with KYB shocks in the past with the exact some complaint.

I switched to some used Bilsteins from a 4th gen and it solved my problems.

Pretty certain that you will need 2" spacers front and rear.

That is what I have run in the past. 2.25" will work too, but the tires *might* rub at full lock.

1.25" is not enough for the rear.

I've used a set of factory rear spring spacers to raise the front of 3rd gen before. The springs were cut stoopid short and I had the spacers sitting there. Seemed to ride/drive ok....
