Re: Lh0 engine stalls when warm, erratic idle

If you have disconnected the battery will need to do an idle learn. This is required on the 3.1l cars with an automatic. A search using my name as the author and a keyword should bring up a thread or...

Re: just got the car back from the auto body place for an insurance claim.

No relays on the starter (although the solenoid could be considered one).

The fusible links are on the large solenoid battery terminal. I don't have any pictures.

Re: How to troubleshoot a GM OBD1 ignition

The pickup coil will only generate an AC voltage when the distributor is turning. Can also measure the pickup coil resistance with it unplugged from the ICM. IIRC, should be in the 900 - 1100 ohm...

Re: Question on the 700R4 trans

TCC lockup is mostly a function of throttle position (TPS), and vehicle speed. The new EFI system should be able to take care of lockup. If not look into a different EFI system.

Re: How to troubleshoot a GM OBD1 ignition

At key-on, engine-off the 4-wire connector wires should all be at 0 volts. Note that during cranking the ECM doesn't control the spark, it is done internally to the ICM.

With the exception of REF...

I guess the A/C system is gone or doesn't work? By grounding that wire to the firewall, this prevents the ECM from running the fan thinking the A/C system is being used (high pressure). Note that on...

Open the gas cap on the tank. That will prevent any pressure build up along with allowing the fuel to drain out of the lines back into the tank.

Re: 90 Camaro spark plug questions

Platinum plugs are not recommended. Go with a straight copper core plug such as Abubaca posted, the AC Delco R45TS. Or an Autolite #26.

The Champion equivalent should be their #19 plug.

INT - Mean R/L

AUJM was released in early '90, so it probably has some drive-ability fixes in it. Should make a good starting point for further tuning.

APYM is for a LB9 5.0l engine.
