Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

z28cop on this board had a late build 82 Z28 with the black engine, too. I believe his was a Norwood car. Maybe he'll chime in if he has a sequence number for his. I'm pretty sure his was a 09A car

Re: Anyone have a very early '82 ?

My brothers old car was a Norwood built car and was 2064..... The car was totaled in 1989 so I have no idea what the build date was, but according to your post it was probably also 11/81

Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

So the way it looks is the Camaro's had sequence numbers by plant, that both started with 100001. The 09A car is almost at the end of the model year like mine and is sequence number 62,725. My car...

Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

Well that changes things up, lol.

The 1982 Z28 that my brother got killed in was a Norwood car......I'll look for his VIN. I have it on my phone, somewhere

Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

I would love to see the lists and dates, too. The sequence numbers dont make any sense at all if they're not duplicated between plants.......there's no way that 78,000 cars were built after mine when...

Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

I wondered if the vins could have been correlated between the 2 plants. It makes more sense if they didn't. So my car would have been number 111,934 that was built at Van Nuys??

Yep, I think 82...

Re: 1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

I still dont get it......because then mine would be 111,934th one built.......and that would mean they built almost 78,000 more after mine. Remember mine was built the 2nd week of September, 1982. So...

1982 Camaro Total Production numbers?

I have seen this car in person.....a long, long time ago. He brought it in an enclosed trailer to a Ja-Mar cruise in Ft. Dodge, Iowa back like 15- 20 years ago. I'd love to see it again!
