New wheel setup! XXR 526 deep dish
Well I finally got around to getting my new wheel setup installed. I ended up going with XXR 526s in chromium black which is more or less at Dark Silver.
18x10.5 27mm offset rears. Stock width 9"
18x9 35mm offset front with a 1.25 5x120 adapter with c5 z06 brakes. ( So 1.5" adapters would be needed on a stock car)
Tires are nitro invo 295/35 and 275/35
I couldn't be happier with the fitment in the rear I'm still running the ground control weight jacks in the front I just switch to a Spohn coilover setup. I'm going to see how it rides see if I get the right I'm looking for if not I may switch back to my ground control weight jacks front. I also went with the Spohn camber plates since I was bottoming my strut so from being so low.
Hopefully more pictures of it outside the garage to follow soon I still have to need to do with my new ms3 Pro. It's really hard to get a nice picture of the back wheel since they are a 4" dish.

Very nice, Jay!
I love these wheels. I have the exact same wheels and dimensions in black. 1.25" adapter up front with stock brakes.
I agree on the depth of the rear making it difficult to capture it in pictures. Look forward to outdoor shots.

Had the car out a few times and have adjusted the front a tad. I think I'll leave it at this ride Height.

Finally got the alignment dialed in. He was able to get -0.8 degree camber without the coil overs rubbing. Runs and rides amazing!

I love those wheels. Where did you order them from?
Good idea on redrilling the axles..I should have thought about that when I put my 8.8 together last year.
For that matter would redrilling the front be an option with a different offset so you don't have to run spacers?

I really love those wheels. I wish they offered them without the multiple lug pattern. Nice car!

Figured I'd add this pick now that the car is Arctic White.

Re: New wheel setup! XXR 526 deep dish
I've just ordered these wheels for my 89 Camaro with stock brakes, and I've got some questions.
1) I'm missing something on the calculations of which adapters to buy for the front. I've read that people are using a 1.25" thick adapter up front, but here's why I'm confused. According to the Skulte FAQ page it says "The 89 Camaro can fit rims with a maximum of 5" front and 5.85" rear backspacing." XXR's website sucks for specs, but NLMotoring shows the 18x9 +35 offset wheel has a backspacing of 6.38 inches. So how does a 1.25" spacer work when the math says I will need a 1.38" spacer? Is it because the 18" wheel clears the tie rods?
2) Will regularly sized (outer diameter) lug nuts fit in the lug nut bore of these wheels or do I have to order "tuner" lug nuts that have a smaller outer diameter? I had hoped to use PCD variation lug nuts and hub centric rings on the rear, but now I'm not sure if they'll fit. I've ordered the wheels and the PCD variation lug nuts, but neither have arrived yet, so I thought I'd ask those that already have these wheels if they had to buy "tuner" lug nuts. If I have to use that tuner style lug nut, I am either going to have to redrill my axles to the 5x120 pattern or use adapters in the rear also.
I don't want the wheels sticking out of the fenders, but inner clearance is important too. I'd appreciate all comments on the backspacing and hopefully some of the XXR 526 owners can chime in on the lug nut questions.

Regular style(acorn) lugs will not fit the lug holes. I used tuner lugs to mount them.

The 18x9 with 35mm offset accompanied by the 1.25" spacer will clear everything except some of the inner fender plastic at full lock. They also do not stick out past the fender well as you can see from his pictures.

I picked up a set too last season. Just got tires for them and waiting to throw them on the car. I ended up getting 18 x10.5 all around after I saw a video on Youtube of Skylar's car....I think he might be on here too.

Re: New wheel setup! XXR 526 deep dish
glad I found this thread because this is exactly what i needed! where are you guys getting your 1.5 in spacers from? Also, am I correct in that non-hubcentric are the kind i should get? I believe that's what I read in an older thread

gamewhiz83 - Any pics with the 18x10.5's on you ride? I went down this same road too after seeing Skylar's YouTube video. I have the 18x10.5 wheels and adapters sitting in my garage. Next I need to get camber plates. I probably won't get around to tires till next Spring. As you're probably aware, it will take some massaging to get everything to fit just right. Curious to see how yours turned out

Good looking wheels. Might have to concider these once I get sick of mine.
