Crossmember "rubber mount"

Hey all,

Im rebuilding my trans and when taking down the crossmember, the "rubber mount" had separated. What is the proper name for this, and does anyone know where to get one?

Transmission mount.

Can be had at the local parts store or various aftermarket companies.

You should look into getting any mount other than the rubber, I broke a few within a year; I drove it hard though.

Many don't like the poly mounts because it transmits so much more vibration to the car. If you're not running high power levels, a stock replacement rubber one will work just fine for you.

If you keep tearing the rubber mount I would try this first.
I tried two different ES Poly Mounts before this one.

The easiest way to know the rubber mount is torn is when you put the car in drive or reverse and you get a bang between the front seats.

And the only way to see the tear is to place a piece of wood on the transmission pan so the jack does not damage it and lift it a little.
You will see the tear then.
