i have a 1982 Chevy camaro 4 cylinder 2.5 l Chevy engine. The tbi fuel injector is pouring fuel into the tbi the car is literally being flooded. What I've done checked the grounds, new plugs and wires, changed the ignition coil,tps,map sensor,complete new distributor, fuel filters,checked the injector wire with a noid light. map sensor vacuum. the only thing left is a fuel pressure relay that i'm going to change now. if i'm missing something let me know .the problem started a year ago I was driving the car and noticed every time it got hot it wouldn't start. i thought it was the ignition coil I changed it and all of the above is what i've changed since help

The fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump relay are two different things.

This sounds like the fuel pressure regulator.

is there a way to adjust the regulator or does the part need to be pelaced

No.

You have to disassemble it, and replace the rubber diaphragm to service the regulator.

Adjustable regulators are available as aftermarket upgrades, but you still have to disassemble them if the innards gone bad.

still baffled I have to spray gas into the tbi to get the car to start. Once it is started and warm it will start on it's own . any suggestions?

You have a fuel-delivery issue.

Step 1: Make sure the device primarily-responsible for fuel delivery is in proper working order.

These jobs can be time-consuming and rewarding.
