Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
Good morning 3rdgen
Now that I finally have the IROC running great from start up to drive (anywhere) I was wondering if there would be any more room for improvement by playing with the SA - Main Table.
I do not have a wideband so there won't be much WOT tuning done till I get one. Any experience with this table for a stock 89 IROCZ with the 350 TPI? Base timing is 6 degrees.
Thanks!

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
I've had two good experiences putting a Corvette timing map into a Camaro... Corvette is significantly more aggressive.
One was before my Miniram I had TPI and I put in the ANHT spark map and noticed a seat of the pants improvement over the AUJP.
The other was after the Minram I started with the LT1 Camaro map and then switched to the LT4 Corvette map, and again noticed a nice seat of the pants improvement.
Now, in both cases I was running aluminum heads with 9.8:1 compression on pump gas (locally 91 octane where I live).
Not sure how the car would react with iron heads and whatever compression is stock for a TPI Camaro (~9:1?). But you could start with the Vette map and then back off from there if you get knock counts. If your final map is still more aggressive than the Camaro and you still have an improvement, then you're that much farther ahead.

Thank you for both your responses!

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
Is the stock iron head L98 Bin $6E?
If so maybe I should just copy paste the SA table from it?

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
I noticed that all the bins from $6E mask use MAF tables. The SA table looks more aggressive than that one I am currently using. Can too low of timing cause knock retards?

Ok thank you.
I have changed it since the one I posted. In fact, even with that one there was some knock retard at WOT.
Is the bin you're referring to the Super 8DM2? Where can I find the AUJP 8D?

Looks like sd $8d or ebl . Rbob has some great starter tunes with the ebl based off factory tunes with the addition of bbc and even a vortec tune. Ebl_p4_3005

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
I just got two AUJP Bins from gearhead EFI. One is just AUJP and the other is AUJP_90_F_car_5.7TPI. I will do a comparison between my current SA with these two.
Orr89Rocz I will check that now.

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
I am having trouble understanding the SA - PE adder vs Gear/RPM table. The row that shows values is called Zero??

Re: Tunerpro - SA - Main Table
You have it, with a manual transmission can set up the N/V ratio table and vary the PE per gear & RPM.
With an automatic can only use row Zero as N/V doesn't work with an unlocked TCC.
RBob.
