More help please

My TBI 350 is in a older truck,I do not know what year the engine is.
The The map,TPS,IAC,ECT sensors have all been changed.
The EGR Valve is there but there is no EGR solenoid , vacuum lines or wiring .

Questions
What year do you think this is?
Will it work without the EGR?
Vacuum lines
The big one center goes to the PCV, the one under that goes to the auto Transmission, and the one on the left goes to the EGR Solenoid ? there is one on the back that goes to the Map sensor.

The engine runs really good after warm up, but not so good getting there.

Re: More help please

Have you checked your timing ?
With the non adjustable tps it would be in the early 90s.
The prom in the ecm will let you know what year it is. There are 3-4 letters on it this is called the broadcast code.the engine will run fine without the egr hooked up.

Re: More help please

I have set the timing to 0 after warm up and with the connector unpluged.
I noticed that the timing light would not flash all the time when the motor is cold.
While it is cold, and I hold the throttle at 2000 rpm or so, It misses.
That is why I said it ran good after warmup.
Thanks

Re: More help please

Maybe you have a bad icm or pu coil. Not sure if cracked reluctor would cause the miss.

Re: More help please

Have you checked injector spray pattern with the timing light as a strobe ?you might have a dripping injector. Not sure what to say about the miss . fuel pressure cold and warm ?
Bye all the sensors does that include the cts ?

Yes coolant temp sensor. In the front of the intake next to your thermostat.

Re: More help please

ok it runs horrible when its using default values in open loop, but then gets to closed loop and starts using O2 voltage, the corrections are better. So it sounds like the computer is having to compensate for something that is completely wrong once he warms up? You need to hook a scan tool up to it to see what its logging while running. If its an older motor you could check the timing chain also. Take video, post it to youtube, its free
