Heater Hose's

Hello everyone . Say I was wondering I have a 92 Z28 5.7 TPI and when I got the car it had a bad heater core which I replaced but someone looped the heater hose's back to the motor and at some time in its pasted they put headers on the car so all the heater hose's were gone . So I was wondering if anybody had a diagram or pic of how it was ran or any idea how I could run the heater hose's.

Do you still have the coolant bypass tube on the RH frame rail?

Hey scooter. Well there is a metal tube or should I say whats left of it . Hanging low by where the tran dipstick is it looks like some one cut it or broke it when putting the headers on. I maybe able to take a pic of how they ran the heater hose's if that will help.

Re: Heater Hose's

If you look in the LS swap posts people have re-run the heater hoses without using the stock hard tube. The stock TPI has a bypass to block coolant from going through the heater core while the AC is on. you don't have to follow that if you don't want, it just makes the AC work harder.
If you don't want to run like stock you would come out of the intake manifold to the smaller of the two tubes on the heater core, I think it is the lower tube, but I can't remember. The larger tube from the core is the return and would go to the radiator. If you want to run the bypass, it is slightly more complicated, and I can't remember which connection is which on the bypass so I can't tell you now, I would have to look at my car but there are pictures of it here

Try this. Not sure if applicable for 92's but I assume it is.
