Engine: LB9. Dual Cats. Big Cam
Transmission: World Class T-5
Axle/Gears: BW 3.45
Somehow, this '84 SC caught my eye.
Totally, nothing special. But it was on the Chicago CL for a couple months and now on the FB Marketplace. 51K miles and asking $5300. Note the missing passenger side mirror. Could use some love.

51k... 151k... I'm not seeing anything that really convinces me it's got a third of the mileage it could certainly have... Is that rust on the front of the lower fender? Kinda sun faded.
I'd have to check my notes, but it seems like 84 might have been early enough to only have a single manual mirror on the driver's door. Of course it wouldn't be a sport mirror. It's too bad it doesn't have much going for it past the condition and supposed mileage. I hope it's at least a V8.

Rust in the fender, rust in the bottom of the passenger door, rust in the passenger rear quarter lip. The available crop of Z28s and TAs makes this car a good candidate for a chump car or a 24hrs of lemons car.

I guess it shows how slim the pickings have been on the Chicago CL lately if this car is noteworthy. Lots of cowl hooded, mystery motor cars.
$5300 would be a fair price if this were a well preserved creampuff. Even better if it were a stick.

Charlie, the originality you seek is diminishing each and every day. If it was preserved cream puff with an LG4 and a T5, I'd still laugh at anyone who paid $5300 for it. Simply not a desirable car. Ugly, slow, uninspiring. Build a sleeper, build a race car, but as is it's just not desirable as is. I'd pay more for the driver quality '79 403 powered Buick LeSabre wagon Sean just found on CL than I'd pay for this car...

Looks familiar lol. I bought this 82, 4 speed, iron Duke with 60k miles in 1999 for a whopping $600. The car was so so so nice.....but....well......it was a 4 banger lol. I took a pic of an old dirty photograph so it looks crappy, but it was damn near mint. I turned it after a month or so. I think I got like $2,800 out of it
