One headlight is on high beam in 1 is on low beam help please

So when I bought the car the passenger low beam headlight wasn't working only the driver low beam light would come on. I got a new set of headlights and the passenger side is on high beam without hitting high beams. Also my high high beam switch doesn't work or click even.

First off, are your headlights/headlight switch in high or low beam mode? Is there a blue instrument panel light on your panel?

When you pull back on the stalk for high or low beam the lever inside is designed to push in on the little skinny wire shaft that runs down the column to the actual switch and pushes in on the button there to switch back and forth. Get down under the column and find the switch that that rod goes to and push in on the cup where the end of the rod fits in. With the key on that should cause the beams to switch back and forth.. If that works you just need to loosen the two small screws that hold the switch in place if they're not already loose, slide the switch back toward you to take up the slack and tighten Sometimes much easier to drop the column holding bracket and while sitting in the driver seat let the steering wheel rest on your legs. You can see easily down the column and reach everything you need to from there. If pushing in and out on the actual switch doesn't do anything then you have a wiring or bad switch problem.
Have fun!
Henry
and to fix the lights you need to remove the plugs on the back and see how they match the proper wiring diagrams and wire colors which sound like they are not right
