My 1982 Firebird Trans AM

Bought early last year. 83,000 original miles, 1 owner before me, original paint, etc. Transmission has been rebuilt (originally failed around 50,000 miles according to paperwork).
Barebones in terms of "luxury" features. No power locks/windows, no a/c, does have a power antenna though, and rear window defogger. "Tinted glass" option as well.
Full service records from previous owner. He really took care of the car.
The classic car dealer i got it from still has all the pics up, so i'll just link there so you can see them all:
https://www.mainlymusclecars.com/cop...-all-steel-s-2

Things i've done since getting it:
Replace cracked passenger side front vent with new old stock piece (not reproduction)
Put in new springs/shocks/struts
Put in new radio and added rear speakers and a small subwoofer
Replaced valve cover gaskets (slight leaks before)
Added factory correct original GM licensed t-top locks (new old stock)
Various little cosmetic fixes.
Overall not much really had to be done with this car!
I DO plan on having it painted BLACK in the future though.

Usually not a fan of 82-84 T/A's but this one looks pretty sweet! I think a set of Hawks 17in black gta wheels would look WICKED on this

Clean car! its really east to see some cars are taken care of, and others not (like mine)
Now, why would you paint that car? I'd do other things to it and enjoy Original paint

Agreed 100%

Touch up the Black inserts on the front bumper with some Armor All, as well as the weather stripping up by the T-Tops, wet sand the whole entire car, then polish it to a mirror finish (though it looks pretty good from the pics already). Put those original rims to the side somewhere (do not throw them away or sell them), and get yourself some 17" polished rims with quality tires. Sometimes Black can seem very played out, and this is coming from someone who owns a Black car...

Welcome aboard.

Thanks! Honestly, been a knight rider fan my whole life and have always wanted a black 82 trans am. Also managed to get registered KNIGHT as the license plate for it, lol. I went with this one because of it's condition and figured I could always paint it down the line. I don't want to go crazy modifying it, would like to keep it close to factory.

Thanks, yeah, those rims n hub caps are worth money for sure, so I'd never get rid of them. You can't see it in the pics but there are some small rust spots here and there, but overall it's not a big deal. And some small body dents on the passenger side wheel well. I figured a fresh coat of black shiny paint (done correctly by professionals of course) would really make the car pop.

Cool car man, enjoy it however you want. I loved Knightrider as a small kid also, probably why I'm into these cars.

Very nice 82. Looks great! I like how it's still sporting the matte black mirrors and spoiler. Do you have any pics of the engine bay or interior?

Thanks! Yeah click the link I posted, and at the bottom of the first set of pics, click "show more" a few times. There's lots of pics. Also, I'm working on replacing the heavily scratched interior plastic trim pieces that you'll see in the pics.

Excellent car. The early ones were the best looking and true to the original styling. The later ones look heavy. I appreciate low optioned Trans Ams and Z28s.

That looks like a GREAT car!

I'm jumping on the bandwagon to leave it as a "white knight". Man that car is awesome.

Thanks. The kid in me wants me to make it KITT black, but the adult in me wants me to keep it as original as possible. Decisions!! For now it's staying white.
