Here’s a link

I think it’s a little weird to upgrade the front end parts on a 2200 mile car.. I would think that would bother a collector who would want to see all the original parts under there and expect a spotless underside for $42k
Not really getting the headlight covers either on a 2200 mile car.. The Velcro tabs can leave marks on the black finish of the headlight buckets..
I don’t think $42k is crazy talk.. I’m not a 1LE guy either.. I appreciate and revere them, but prefer loaded 87-90 IROCs personally..
The color and the 5-speed are the right combo though..

I can appreciate the special cars, and it's pretty cool to see third gens pulling true collector money, but this particular one I think is a bit far fetched. The suspension parts were probably replaced for better track use, but who tracks a 2200 mile car?? And if it's being tracked then are the original tires trashed or already long gone? Are there rock chips and rubber burned in to the paint?

Nice, but right now on eBay there are two '89 TTAs (and six overall) with less than 10,000 miles (one with only 3,192 miles) that list for less than $39,000. And that's from that Gateway Classics company, which I often think has inflated prices. I'd take one of those first. Or course, no manual.

I don't think he wants to sell this car, the whole ad is weird. "Just putting this out there", "non negotiable", "will not send pics".
So I am going to drop 42K on a car that you post 5 pics? Doesn't he realize most collectors don't live next door, and I don't think those guys "joy ride" either.
IMHO I think this guy paid too much for this, having buyers remorse and is seeing if he can get his money back.

If he has the original lower control arms & panahard bar (which I bet he does) this is an EASY car to put back to 100% original.
Removing the head light covers is nothing.....good color, with a 5 speed and fully documented.....
this car will bring very close to asking price at Barrett Jackson or Mecum Auctions.....who wants to make a wager ???
