1988-1989 GTA 5 speed
Looking for a black or gunmetal grey 1988-1989 GTA trans am, manual transmission 305 TPI. Looking for an all original car or very close. I am open to varying levels of a project car for around 2-5k or a good running trans am (up to 11k). I can't afford anything close to mint. I am looking to restore this car and keep it for a lifetime. Thanks for any leads. I realize these are rare cars and there aren't too many out there. I am willing to travel for the right car and realize I have to be patient.

Yeah trust me I am prepared. Been looking since 2014 and almost bought one last year, then someone else bought it. I'm not naturally a patient person. May have to get an auto and convert it to manual eventually if I cant find another 5 speed or consider other years besides 1989. Take care.

Re: 1988-1989 GTA 5 speed
I bought a Project 88 GTA out of Oregon City a couple months ago. 305 5-speed with T-Tops, Digital Dash & Gray Leather.
The Seats are hammered, and it needs paint. The body is pretty straight, just a few minor dents, easily repaired.
The best part of it is the drivetrain. The 5.0L TPI and 5-speed are pretty much dialed in now that I replaced the ignition parts.
I also rebuilt the digital dash with LED lamps so it really pops. Replaced the dash pad with a near mint one, as well as the steering wheel.
Steering wheel controls work with the factory AM/FM Cassette Player.
I'm really enjoying the restoration work on it... But I'd consider selling it if the price were right. I am in Washington State.
